Also for you guys who do this yourself, while the caliper is off, give it a cleaning with some simple green and a soft toothbrush. It will get all the built up brake dust off, especially in the area where the caliper pistons are.

Good idea for cleaning the pins. I used a brass brush and it was a pain.

Raybestos 980675 $103.79

The write up could have been better I suppose since I left of the "finesse" steps. But I did take the better part of the weekend to detail it all and tried to take good pics.


And Simple green is simply the best. I was in a rush to get things back together otherwise I would have gotten down on it with the stuff. I keep a mix in a pressure sprayer

Question... is there any specific type of anti-squeal recommended? Can you use anti-seize? I know that some Lotus guys use it instead.

the grease is just high temp grease that was supplied with the pads.
