Default Finally, USB + Alpine!

Finally, my wait is over, I have my dream car! I could have waited for the 2011, but I couldn't pass up saving around $20K for a 2009 with 12K miles.

I first set eyes on the USB with Alpine leather back in the 2007 Chicago Auto Show. She was on the turnstile and I was mesmerized, hooked!

I've learned a lot reading from here during my year long search. You guys just made me drool even more for an ISF with all those fantastic photos you posted! I couldn't wait any longer. I might have gone crazy waiting for the 2011......

Sorry for the Droid quality photos and warning: NOOB questions to follow from a new ISF owner..... I know, I know use the search....

Congrats, the car looks beautiful. Good luck with the seats. I have been waiting/drolling over the ISF in USB since it was a concept car. I know that when I finall car my car it will have been worth the wait.

Welcome to the Alpine leather club! Anybody who gets inside my car always comments on it just before sitting down... "Whoa I love the white leather!"

Thanks guys. I am ecstatic to be a member here. For some odd reason, the white leather just reminds me of a high-end sports tourer like an Aston Martin, Panamera, etc. It just makes it even more luxurious for some reason.... And oh man, the leather from a luxury car is so different from....like an 08 Accord (my other car). The feel of the leather is just amazingly siky!

Yeah, I've done my homework on taking care of the white leather from you guys here....lol. I will be very pro-active.

NOOBs Questions:

1 – Is it me or is the ISF’s brakes really really “grabby”. I have yet to make a complete stop, without the eventual slight lunge forward. Is it b/c of the Brembos? Did my ISF just got her brakes replaced? I am not complaining. I love it, just curious. I know eventually, I will get use to it.

2 – I have about 900 miles left before the next oil change. How do I get myself onto the Lexus newsletter as the new owner, if there is such a thing? When I bring it to the dealer, is it just a matter of telling the service guy to update the “master list” as the new owner?

3 – The navigation is irritating in that it tells me the # associated with the address is not available. I do like the entering by phone, but even that is sometimes not up to date. So since this is a 2009, is it worth updating the nav guys/gals?

4 – DVD Video. I put in a video DVD, but just hear audio. The picture button is not available. How do I watch the DVD?

Did I say, I love this car? I love the exhaust note too. I can't imagine you guys with your aftermarket exhaust, how those sound. I love carbon fibre, so initial mods will be interior/exterior carbon baby!
