IS-F vs e92 M3 Photoshoot
Hello all, I've been on this forum since June of this year without a formal introduction. My name is William and I've been a proud owner of a 2008 Matador Red IS-F from June '10. My previous cars have been an automatic 1995 Acura Integra with a custom turbo kit fabricated from ebay purchases and a 2004 Subaru Imprezza WRX.
My friend, who I met on honda-tech forums purchased an e92 M3 after having v8 envy when I purchased my IS-F. We each took turns giving rides in our cars. His car already had an aftermarket exhaust which I thought produced an intoxicating exhaust note. From the passenger side, the M3 felt quicker than the IS-F, but perspective is often misconceiving. Perhaps the M3's flatter torque curve gave the impression that the car is faster. Nevertheless, we did several quick pulls on the freeway to test the differences. We started at about 60 mph for each race. First race, I got a slight jump and pulled at head and continued to pull until about 100 when we shut it down. He had his windows open which caused turbulence at higher speeds. Second race, he had his windows up and got the jump on me. He pulled ahead, but I don't think he pulled away quite like I did in the first race. I attribute my loss to the fact that I had forgotten to turn off the a/c which I've heard robs about 10-15 hp ( I'm only assuming this ). Regardless, we both felt that the cars are quite evenly matched and are both happy with our purchases.
Without further ado, here are the pics. Enjoy
3 piston brakes I think. I don't know too much about the car.
Might be a couple of similar pics posted, since I'm also trying to learn about my camera. The more I use it, the better I get. Same with editing/Photoshop.
Couldn't get the colors right in this one, so I made it black and white. Turned out quite well I think.
My CF roof.
Hope you enjoyed!

Yeah, when it says "My CF roof" it means my friend's cf roof. I copied and pasted the second half of the post from his post on a BMW forum. I wish I had a cf roof.

You need to learn how to select the correct white balance. Or shoot in RAW and figure out the correct color for the scene. The 1st 2 shots are underexposed too.
Keep practicing.
