Thief tried to steal my rims!!!!
I wake up a couple of hours ago to my alarm going off. I didn't even think twice! I started running outside to find my glass shattered in the back and all my lugs off on the rear left rim! I called the cops to take a report but not like they can do anything. I'm so heated right now I can't even sleep
What do you guys suggest I should do as added security for my rims. I don't have a garage to put my car in. ****ty part is, this is the first time it's happened and I know they won't stop until they get my rims. Any experiences..please share.

You can try getting 2 or 3 different wheel locks on there but that may look weird. At the end of the day lug locks dont really make a ****s bit of difference... if they want them they will eventually get them off anyway.
im sorry to hear what happened :/

Leave windows down
Overnight. Attract them. Hide in bushes with some friends. Capture them. Torture them. Drop them at police station.
Or videotape them so you can fully prosecute. Then they will get auto theft and see real jailtime.

You need a good aftermarket alarm. I'd suggest a Clifford, either the AvantGuard 5.1 or the IntelliGuard 770. The features that come with the alarm and will give you piece of mind are:
- OMNI SHOCK SENSOR: This sensor is great, no false positives, you set it exactly the way you want it, you hit the car to set the warning point, and you hit it harder to set the trigger point, and wherever you hit the car (even the rear bumper) it'll follow your settings. So if anyone hits a lug, the alarm will go off.
- PROXIMITY SENSOR: Anyone around your car, staying there too close, will trigger a warning, and if they get closer the alarm will go off. Again you can set the distance.
- TILT SENSOR: After the alarm has been armed, if the car's inclination changes (for instance someone jacking up the car trying to steal your wheels), the alarm will go off.
These alarms work fine with the factory Lexus alarm, I have it installed in my IS-F and the only problem is that I have to carry an additional transmitter (not too big though). If the alarm goes off, it'll trigger the factory alarm as well, so it'll get LOUD and the thieves won't come back.

damn! sorry that had to happen. definitely look into a sensitive alarm. i too am looking into one myself after reading this latest act of theft. im always cautious of where i park, but thieves can strike at anytime. hopefully all the damage gets fixed soon.

I just purchased the Intelliguard and i'm excited. I had to buy the tilt sensor separate. It doesn't come with it. The lady was telling me that only certified people can install it because its not like other systems. They wanted 400 bucks for the install; whereas, another installer told me 150. Any thoughts on this?
