Battle of the Supercars ISF vs M3 Speed Channel 10/4
I was channel surfing last night in between the Miami Dolphins while the PATS were crushing them, and I came across this show. I was interesting the M3 won 3 out of the 4 events. It pitted Paul Tracy in the M3 and Tanner Faust in the F. The F was a '10 model with the LSD and the M3 was an '11 with the updated tail lights. Did anyone get a chance to check it out? I believe it was a repeat episode.

Does it not bug the hell out of anyone else that the IS-F, a sedan, is continuously compared to the M3 coupe??? Why wouldn't they compare the M3 to the IS-F in its sedan form? It has been bugging me ever since the IS-F came out and this rivalry begun.

it doesn't bug me at all, because i know e90 and e92 m3 performance are virtually the same. if anyone is to think e92 is noticeably faster than e90 m3, that's a horrible assumption. doesn't matter which m3 you take, e90/92, given the same driver, results will be extremely close to each other

So, I watched a few more episodes of Battle of the Supercars last night, and I am pretty well convinced at this point that Paul Tracy is simply a superior driver. The reason I bring this up is b/c even though I know the M3 is a bad-a$$ car, Paul Tracy housed Tanner when they tested the M3vISF. Tracy was in the M3 and Tanner in the ISF.
In back to back episodes last night, Tracy won 3-1 and 4-0 over Tanner. I've seen quite a few episodes, and I can only once recall Tanner beating Tracy. And last night Tanner was making a lot of excuses after getting beat repeatedly. Tanner made the ISF look "bad" that day, and I believe the tables might have turned (or at least been even) if Paul had been in the ISF. I'd like to see a redo with Paul in the '11 ISF and Tanner in the M3.
Am I crazy?
