Default Where can I buy cheap OEM brake accessories?

Hello fellow members,

I was wondering where can I purchase OEM Pads and Rotors for cheap? I live in the SGV area and the dealership try to charge me 2100 for all four corners for these sets. I looked up on Sewell Parts and its pretty reasonable, but members on here say to use the ClubLexus discounts. Does anyone know the promo code for it when I check out? Let a bro know on where you guys get your parts OEM brake parts from.

Thanks.

Create a login on Sewell's site..during your registration is will ask for your ClubLexus logon. Then the prices will change.

If I were you I wouldn't use the stock brakes. Call Carbotech and get their bobcat's 1521's. They're cheaper and better.

Rotors may not need to replace if pads haven't been replaced before or still within minimum specs (Especially the rears rotors). That said, a qualified indie shop can do the job for a fraction of the dealer's costs. Search "Brake" for more info.

Thanks for the opinions guys. My car is only 15k and and I need to replace the pads pretty soon yet alone tires. But I like to keep it Oem for quality performances. Trippy part is my brakes makes squeaky noise at low speed braking. Is that normal or is it time to replace pads or rotors? First time to replace anything on my vehicle

What's a sure way of knowing that your rotor needs replacement?

Squeaky brakes are normal for the stock brake setup.

Brake squeaky noises don't necessary mean worn out pads. You can visually check by looking for a shiny metal built-in sensor on the pads if it touches or real close to the rotor surface. You can also see a thin scorn mark on the rotor if the pad is worn out.

What do see now?

A rotor micrometer gauge gives a read out and a min. thickness specs are listed on the rotor hubs (not sure if Lexus has it) or in the manual. Don't remember exact figures but I'm sure it listed there.

Well my rotors were smooth. but now i can see it has ciruclar markings around it. it looked warped, but not. It look like ridges but you can't feel the the steps of it. and my pad has more material towards the front then the inside of it. It looks diagnaol / slanted, like the inside is eating more meat then the outside. Is that normal?

Yep, it's normal. I think you can see what you're describing in one of the pics posted on Brake thread.

Ummm. No. Cracks can be pretty long, just not from a hole to the edge, from a hole to a hole, or from a hole to the root. I'll take pics of my rotors this weekend (bought new OEM rotors in Florida when I was in Pembroke Pines for the wife's uncle's funeral.) They have lots of cracks and some of them are easily 10mm long. They still work fine. You'd be amazed how cracked a rotor can be and still work just fine.
