Default Those that bought exhaust

So I'm thinking of getting one, but I have 2 questions for those that kept the OEM one. How did you manage to transport either the new one or the old one? Where do you store your OEM one? My garage is out of space. Ugh. Can the OEM one be dismantled into at least 2 parts so I don't have something the width of my car laying around? Also did you just have your new exhaust ship to the shop you got it installed? I'm just trying to figure out the logistics here since I don't have a truck to carry it.

i have the OEM exhaust in the garage in the event i might need to quickly have the OEM setup for a visual check. some people had to sell their exhausts because cops gave them a ticket, and they didnt want the hassle of installing and re-installing between setups. as for transporting, the OEM fits fine in a minivan with the seats removed (thats how i brought mine home). i had my exhaust installed by Clark at VIP, so it was already there. it's definitely worth the upgrade, IMO. it doesn't add too much attention in terms of noise, but it does make driving more enjoyable! best of luck!

I have no idea where the hell I can store the OEM once I upgrade. I can shove it up into the attic above the garage but that's a ***** to carry something that weight and size up a ladder.

Not really.. I did once or twice on my own...

The OEM Front-Mid section weighs 33 lbs.

and

The OEM Rear Axke section weighs 37 lbs.

Screw some hangers into ceiling beams and hang it. That's what I did.

Joe, the more I look at your system, the more I see what a work of art it is. If you haven't already received enough, Kudos, again, to you

Not that I don't believe you but I would love to see a picture of that....you sure are brave! I could not imagine even trying that with the idea of it falling in the event of an earthquake

I actually had mine professional cut into smaller sections to be stored away. Of course you would need either garage space or a shed. I have never heard of anyone putting car parts in the attic!

I heard of one guy who used leftover automotive parts to make lawn decorataions but I dunno what your neighbor might say.

Make sure to suran wrap the whole thing before transport. I just picked mine up on Monday on my wife's SUV since the installer said he could hold onto it for a few days, and I'm sure glad I did because the thign was dirty as hell. Good for storage too since you don't want too much dust accumulating on it.
