VJ

I ran VIR twice with different tires.

1.
225/40/19 Yokohama Advan's
255/35/19 Yokohama Advan's

NO SPACERS

fastest time 2:31:xxx

2.
245/35/19 Michelin Pilot Super Sports 15mm spacer
265/35/19 Michelin Pilot Super Sports 15mm spacer

fastest time 2:21:096

The tires are a night and day difference. My car felt like a totally different car between the two setups. Especially around the old "oak tree" turn where it is a very hard right and I can't get on the gas as early as I can, but with the MSS's I could put the power down about 7 - 10 feet earlier than with the other tires.

I'm on stock suspension just tire and spacer changes.

The overall strength however can be argued but wheels don't essentially just fall apart while driving.. most wheels have standards they must adhere to.

So IMO using knock off wheels as an argument VS those who run -8 camber on 245 rear tires is not really an argument.
Who's running -8 camber on an is-f? I'm running -4 and I thought I was pushing it already.

Dorrian, thanks for your input, this is exactly what I wanted to know. Glad to know that increasing the width by that little helped on the track. You were also running different tire brands, that could have also played a factor. Michelin PSS are known to be sticky.

A track weekend at VIR is definitely in my future!

-4 isn't much if you're running wide tires and a less than ideal offset. But I'm sure jiggawho's car when aired down is closer to -8 than -4 lol

I noticed a couple of F's are running Volk Te37 19x9.5 +22 and 19x10.5 +35. Did they have to do any fender work. I'm thinking about going with TE37 TTA 19x9.5 +22 and 19x10 +35. I have a safe set of Te37's bought from another member coming. But I'm always planning for the next set. I know its a disease.

Gentlemen I have some wheels on the way. The specs are as follows.

19 x 8.5 + 35

19 x 10 + 32

I'm not lowered at all. I do have my rears rolled as well. I plan on running the following tire sizes.

245/35/19 Front

275/30/19 or 265/30/19 Rear

Now after reading this entire thread I'm sure that my fronts will fit just fine. My concern is the rear. I don't really want to stretch my tires, but if I have to I want a mild stretch. So will my tire size choices fit? I plan on running Michelin Pilot Super Sports. Thanks for all your help.

Rear will clear with 265 easily with a roll. 275 will clear depending on how low you are

Thanks ISFpat. I had a typo my rear will be +32 instead of +35. I believe I'm still in the clear. I will probably go with a 265/30 tire. I believe that will be a "little" stretch.

So I've been trying to get a set of wheels through a vendor, but not sure if they'll fit. Perhaps y'all can help?

20x9 +35 up front with 245/30
20x10 +35 rear with 265/30.

Should be an easy fit, right?

yes but may want to go with 245/30/20 and 275/25/20.
