This is the drag setup that you will need if you want to run full drag slicks. I think I am the only person who is running full drag slicks. If you decide to go this route, you will need to install a drive shaft hoop as well as that is manditory when running slicks.

Thank you very much for the info. What mods do you have on your F and what 60fts have you managed with this set up?

yes, spraying out of the hole. Nobody makes a drive shaft loop for the car. You will have to find a performance shop to make a custom one for you. Cost me $400 for the drive shaft loop.

Drag Racing Wheel Setups Show Em
Will be testing these RE-30 18x9.5 +43 at the drag strip in about 2 weeks. Tires 280/650r18 Yokohama A005. Test fitted rear set on front to, so you can see the 280 wide fit the front pretty well also.

I don't go to the drag strip, but I do go to the track. I have always run mustang wheels on my track cars (currently ISF, previously 350z) because they usually fit, they're cheap and I can always find someone to sell them to if I sell the car.
They're AMR (American Muscle Racing?) 18x8 +30 front and 18x10 +48 rear with 245/40 front, 275/35 rear. Bought all wheels and tires on eBay for about $1,000.
Call me crazy, but I think the set I bought for the ISF actually look pretty good on the car. After I replace the "American Muscle" center caps I think you'd be hard pressed to spot them as mustang wheels.

anybody using drag radials on 19" wheels
im considering getting rear drag radials M/T ET Street S/S 285/35R19, since tire radius only goes from 13.01" to 13.43" when compared to stock tires. I also considered using an 18" wheels/tires but the only available tire size is 275-45R18 M/T ET Street SS and the radius goes to 13.87". http://www.1010tires.com/Tools/Tire-...5R18/285-35R19
if i go with 19 I can reuse a pair of 19" Enkei GTC01 i have, but was wondering if tire will rub or if the increased radius will affect 1/4 mile times.
Thoughts?

If I understand this right....
You want to put a drag radial on and you also want it larger than stock....
If you go 3 sizes bigger will it interfere with suspension etc...
I have used these tires on a different vehicle and had to go down one inch...to an 18 and up one width, lets say 235 to a 245. I was worried I wouldn't get the grip I wanted. Nope, these tires stick at the track. These are only street legal cause they put these little groves in them. I would not advise running them on the street.
At the track they were great. You don't need to go really big to get results. Yes size does affect 1/4 mile times. There are lots of places that will tell you the affects of the wrong size, not only time but speed as well.
Edit...After reading Bakewalks post I think the tires I used were actually called cheater slicks, Not the drag radials. I still stand by the increased traction you will get with the drag radial, but for maximum traction get the ones Bakewalk suggested, put them on a set of wheels and away you go!

If you are only using them for drag racing and want the stickiest tires possible, use these and run about 12-13 psi.
