track wheels
I don't go to the drag strip, but I do go to the track. I have always run mustang wheels on my track cars (currently ISF, previously 350z) because they usually fit, they're cheap and I can always find someone to sell them to if I sell the car.
They're AMR (American Muscle Racing?) 18x8 +30 front and 18x10 +48 rear with 245/40 front, 275/35 rear. Bought all wheels and tires on eBay for about $1,000.
Call me crazy, but I think the set I bought for the ISF actually look pretty good on the car. After I replace the "American Muscle" center caps I think you'd be hard pressed to spot them as mustang wheels.

These drags hook like crazy. My times got better as I kept dropping PSI. Think I went to 25PSI. 12.3@115. 60' was 1.953. If I work on my launch (& shifting) I could cut it to 12.2 or even 12.1.

Anybody here have any idea if Wedssport TC105Ns in 17x9 +49 will clear our rear brakes? I found someone selling 4 brand new in the area and was thinking about seeing if he'll let me check the clearance with them.
He is selling 4 and I only need 2. If they clear the rear brakes, is anybody here interested in buying 2? They are a little expensive for drag wheels at $400 each, but they only weigh 15.73 lbs each and would match up well with either 245/45R17 or 275/40R17 drag radials.
