I did not have to read consumer reports, I owned one {CTS**. I agree with the mod potential of the V but to each his own. I also own a 03 Z06. There is a lot of difference in the feel of the F compared to the V. Build quality is not even close.

I am headed to the local Caddy dealer this weekend to talk turkey over swapping my F for a CTS-V coupe. I've had it with getting shut down by M3s and the harsh ride quality of the 08 F......

IMO if you absolutely don't like the "harsh" quality of an F, coilovers are not going to fix it if you're comparing it to a CTS which has a longer wheelbase.
You either like it or you don't and if you don't like it then by all means get rid of it.
I will say this, the ride was crystal clear to me the first time I drove an F and I knew right then and there that it was never going to be an issue with me.
Consumer Reports to me just confirmed what I already saw, heard, and felt the few times I rode in a Cadillac. Their quality is mediocre compared to a Toyota/Lexus which is not so apparent when brand new but definitely shows as it gets older.
