Clicking Noise From Rear Left Wheel Area
I have a "clicking" noise upon acceleration or quick deceleration (It's pretty loud if you have the windows down). It usually only happens once...and usually happens when you accelerate fast. I thought is could have been loose bolts on my wheel...but none needed tightning. I brought it to Lexus, and they thought it was my exhaust tapping the metal around the exhaust tips...but i can't imagine the exhaust moving that much, plus you really have to push the exhaust hard to move it. Any ideas? I do have aftermarket wheels (20's) and aftermarket exhaust (Royal Muffler). Thanks everyone.

Could be. The click only happens once during acceleration...or under load. But it also happens occasionally during braking. I'll have to bring it back to Lexus soon. Thanks 08MRISF.

you should bring it to the dealer and check it out....i had the similar issue and it turned out to be the differential. they ended up replacing the new differential. that's the thing with the F....too much power for the differential to handle. i wish they would replace with the 2010 torsen.

So I just got back from Lexus. Turns out it was the exhaust hitting the heat shield (more specifically the very end of the exhaust tip). They saw where it was rubbing or "tapping" the heat shield. I have a Royal Muffler aftermarket exhaust (hopefully the link works). There's around a 1/4 inch between the exhaust and metal, so upon hard acceleration, it's enough to make them touch. Not sure what I'm going to do about it. I don't want to bend or modify the car, so maybe there's something I can pick up at home depot that's soft yet heat resistant that I can apply to the car to prevent the clicking. Big thanks to everyone that gave me suggestions.
