Could you tap the Emergency brake to try to duplicate?

The parking brake has nothing to do with the brake pads or even the disc. It's a completely separate drum brake employing the rotor hat's internal surface to provide braking. It isn't going to invoke a noise related to the pads.

I can't tell if it's the front or the rear but either way it's super annoying. Maybe I'll swing by just to have them take a look.

I have the same problem; my brakes don't squeal all the time. They could squeal like Miss Piggy one day and be perfectly quiet the next.

I've made an appt with the dealership to have it checked out. Hopefully Murphy cooperates and I can duplicate the squeal for the tech.

I left my car at dealership this morning for rear pads TSIB, window motor,etc...
SA lady told me they can't do if my pads are low.
And Im not sure if my pads are low or not (~27000miles of very normal driving).

I started hear squeak noise about 2weeks ago..It was different squeak with normal brembo noise. kind of harder squeak....
I hear squeak noise only in slight or near stop speed braking.

not sure how things will go. lady told me she will get back to me later or tmw.
will post later how the thing went.

Hey byung which dealership did you bring it to? I got the same response from my service manager and he told me it's not covered under warranty because it's below 50%. I just got off the phone with Lexus Corporate and they said it is and they'll be contacting the dealership about it. This is what the rep on the phone said to me "If there is a Bulletin(TSIB/LSB) the dealership has to do the repair. Warranty is in effect for 48 months or 50k miles whichever comes first." Mine is at 27k miles just like yours and it's not even near 48 months. Dealership is yanking our chain and denying it, just give corporate a call and address your experience with the dealership/service manager and they'll have a specialist contact the dealership right away to resolve the issue.

i went to magnesuns lexus and they wont even touch the car unless i get it to squeak there.
damn brakes wont squeal all the time. Its like whenever they fell like it they will squeal. So basically it ownt squeal when im at the dealership, if it does then ive won the lottery.

Let it get super dirty or try recording a video of it doing it?

finally my car is done.
They replaced rear brake pads & shim kit.
My car had about 27500 miles.
Even SA lady told me they can't do if my pads are low, however, they did it.
maybe I had good amount of rear pads left...

Now car does not make squeak noise any more.
Im very satisfied what they have done.
now, I only hope lexus decide to do this for front brake..

Thanks to OP for letting me know TSIB.

This has been an ear saver, my brakes have been squeaking since day one. I obviously haven't tracked my car YET, so I had an 8 on the rear pads and a 6 up front, apparently 3 is when they want you to replace. Question though, should they have turned the rotors on the rear? Isn't that better whenever they put new pads on? Or since my wear was so low on the rear, would it not have mattered?

Thanks for the post! I just had my 30K service last Friday and they replaced the brake pads when I showed 'em the TSIB/LSB. They didn't even make me prove it. I guess I must have looked trustworthy enough. Righteous!

I just took care of this. Thanks for bringing it to my attention. I had the squeak and figured I would just have to live with it. Now it's fixed! Thanks Lexus.
