I just went to the dealer to check out the F. I do not want the mark levinson package for an extra 2 grand. the salesman said they all come with it. If you want one without, is that special order? Is it possible for one on the lot to be without it?

Any thoughts would be appreciated, thanks.

 

An F without ML or Nav is a very rare animal indeed. I have never seen one in the flesh, and I have only heard of three without that option package. All three were east coast cars. So yes, your dealer is correct, they all (almost all anyway) come that way from the factory.

When I got mine back in June 2008 the local Lexus dealer had 2 ISFs only, both of them fully loaded. I didn't want to pay the extra $$$ for navigation and ML, so I was told that I'd have to custom order it and wait about 2 months or more to get it... needless to say I got my ISF that same day with all the options.

 

i've never seen an F without the ML or nav system. i know it's customizable, just like the sunroof delete. the ones ive saw when i was checking out the inventory when i first got mine ALL had ML + nav, as if it was the norm.

 

yes you can get a ISF without the ML and nav but you will have to special order it. A ISF sitting on the dealers lot without ML or nav is rare because Lexus research shows that most people want those options and Lexus makes more money on selling options.

 

I was told by my dealer that ML comes standard, so it's a delete option only, as with the sunroof.

I think it's fairly obvious that a special order with delete would cost more than the discount you'd be able to get on a ML-equipped F sitting on the lot.

 

What your dealer told you is wrong. The sunroof is a delete option. But, the ML/Nav package is an option that carries a price tag of $3,925 and, and almost all Fs come equipped that way.

my f is from cali, it has no ml and no sunroof!

 

And more than likely no nav... right??


That means it was ordered that way...

Or you may have bought a previously owned Lexus / Toyota Corp. owned IS-F...

Sometimes they order / make base trim models for Corporate Employee's to drive for a while..

i have nav, heated and cooled seats, evey option but the ml and roof.

 

How do you have cooled seats? I was told the fan wouldn't fit under our seats?

I can't imagine not having my ML and nav....

Sunroof, though, I can do without that extra 60 pounds of stuff I'll never use.
