We decided that there was not enough demand. Instead we are making a BBK that will use these IS-F sized rotors and allow the ISX50's to upgrade.

Volunteer? I have a track weekend at CMP at the end of the month. Nothing could be harder on a set of rotors...

Hi guys, I will enable the preorder coupon through the 11th while we do final confirmation of fitment and pad wipe.. We are already running a thin margin to make this happen and really just doing this to justify the run of 5 to see if there is enough demand.

Figs,
Is there any possibility that if one ordered these 2 piece rotors now that the replacement rotor ring may in the near (or even 5-10 year range) not be available due to "low demand" on the product.... I'd hate to spend that much for rotors expecting to be able to replace the outer ring, then not have them be available when the time came...
thoughts?

My guess is the rotor blank is a more universal piece. The hat of the rotor is the piece that probably needed development so as long as it doesn't get damaged I would think you should be fine.

Hopefully I will be able to pull together funds in two days to get these at the discount. I have them on my TSX and love them.

The rings are leveraged off of another model in the front thus the more affordable price. They will have plenty of support in the future.

Hi guys after testing these the last few days they have been great. There is one change I am going to make though or at least give an option. We had orginally intended to go with a thicker rotor, 32mm and make it slightly smaller to get rid of the lip that forms on the OEM rotor. After seeing these rings they ended up slightly underhanging by 1.5mm. So rather than have a pad that overhangs I think more of you would prefer full pad contact but the potential to have a slight rust ring on the extreme outer lip. I will still offer the slightly undersized ring as an option to those that want more thermal mass for the track, but we will be getting the new rings next week and work on the swap out of the stock we have. Again, this is a little detail, not a big deal and part of new product development. Particularly when you want to leverage existing rings that will not force a new casting.

If anyone has any questions feel free to post up. I will extend the presale accordingly while this swap happens.
also the code is ISF2PPRE for the extra 10 off.
Thanks Mike

Mike, I'm confused... why would the smaller rings have more thermal mass? wouldn't it be the opposite?

because they are thicker. 32mm vs 30mm. And the OD was just slightly smaller.

Yes sorry I was not more clear. We will also be working with carbotech on the pad solution for this since Hawk does not have the rear pad application.

So do we get %10 off the pre-order price? 28 lbs. of un-sprung weight savings is pretty nice!

Front are fully vetted with jack screws added now, orders will ship this week. It was a real ***** to remove the rotors without them but no problem with them in place.

An update on the rears. We have made the final fitment mockups based on the first sample and should have them the first week of August. If you ordered you should have them by mid-august. As I said to a customer in waiting, its not easy to just crank out these types of parts and there are always gotchas.
