Default Richer bass for ML audio

The past several days, I have been enjoying richer bass when listening to Satellite Radio. One day, I accidentally hit the CD button while I was listening to Satellite Radio. I quickly went back to Satellite and I had a lot more "thump" coming from the rear. I have done this several times now and it works. I'm not sure why, but I'm sure glad I have more bass. Anything that makes the ML sound better is good.

Double check the sound settings for bass, treble, and mids. The settings can be customized between each input. So if you changed it on XM radio it may need to be preset again when listening to a CD.

No change in bass output on my M/L system (2008) when trying this.

I forgot to note that the bass on my Satellite Radio is not always bad. Only sometimes do I turn it on and it sounds like it has way too much treble. That's when I try the trick in my OP.

Interesting - I had something similar happen to me the other day. Actually mentioned it to Lexus service when I had dropped my car for maintenance. You aren't the only one to have noticed the sound difference.

I thought I was gonna go crazy when they said I had plenty of bass.

Maybe XM is finally upping the bitrate on the crap they send down to our cars!

Yesterday I noticed that this trick works when starting from FM mode too. I thought it sounded bad on my favorite FM station. But when I hit the CD button and then went back to FM, the FM station had more bass and volume. There is some setting that is in CD mode that stays even if you go back to FM or satellite. I'm thinking it's something like Dolby NR, etc.
