Coming up on my 30K mile service. Dealer quoted me $908 stating that included replacing the spark plugs. My manual says plugs go at 60K so I am leery of anything the stealership tells me. Oil changes cost about $80, same as my G37. As a side note, hit a dog and had front bumper replaced/painted for $1440. My dealer is North Park Lexus in San Antonio.

^^^^Find a new dealer. I had my bumper replaced at a good body shop because I was hit by road debris shot up by the car in front of me on the freeway. This happened in April of last year. The total cost of replacement, refinishing and installation of my new bumper cover was $789.73. I paid $500.00 of it due to my insurance deductable.

I think the worries about changing from conventional to synthetic are highly overstated. If you break in the engine right, it doesn't matter what oil you use. Corvettes come from the factory with Mobil 1 and they don't have oil control issues as a general observation, so I have very little concern about when I start using synthetics.

Ever since the first change at 5k miles. Mobil 1 because it's easy to find and cheap at Wal-Mart. I run Red Line in the Supra.

Just read in the latest Consumer reports survey that the BMW E92 M3 is showing very good reliability.
Just wanted to point out that fact even though BMW's reliability overall (as does MB and Audi) is still significantly behind Lexus/Toyota inspite of all the safety recalls/gas pedal drama. BMW's worst car in reliability is the 335i which is rated much worse than average.
