Default New 2011 IS-F owner

Just picked up a new 2011 Starfire Pearl IS-F. Traded in the '08 GS460. I almost got a 2010 leftover, but when I saw the updates Lexus made for 2011, I pulled the plug on the deal and said I would wait for the 2011. I got the first one in the dealership.

PROS:
I love the new dash display, and the Alcantara inserts in the seats. I like the sound of the engine, wish the GS460 had sounded like this. Very precise cornering feel. Very precise steering input. Steering feel very close to GS460 which I like. Good leg room. I like the ML Nav system which works pretty much like the GS. Like the LED running lights.

CONS:
Ride is a little on the "jiggly" side. Console compartment very cramped in comparison w/ cupholder in there. Seat does not seem to have same adjustability as the GS had. Front of the seat seems too high. I won't complain about the quad exhausts, because I am trying to ignore them...

Overall very happy with the car. It is a lease so that will temper the urge to start modding it.

I did drive the '08 and recently the '10. However, I really did not do any type of driving that would allow me to tell any difference between them. I don't normally push my cars that hard and I would not flog a car on a test drive.

Noticed another quirk today. The range indicated 20 miles to go, and 1 bar on the fuel gauge. I was only able to put in 13 gallons. That means there were 3.9 gal still in the tank. Surely the range should have indicated more, since I am averaging 18mpg according to the display.

Hard to figure remaining fuel supply with the bar display...

Also noticed a rattle in the rear door on the driver's side when making a hard left turn. Will advise the dealer when it needs it's 1200 mile service in a couple of weeks

The range is only an estimate. I've driven another 30 or 40 miles after the range indicated 0. I just go by the fuel light. When it comes on, I know I have about 3 gallons left. I trip odometer B to zero. I then know I have roughly 65 miles before I'm out of gas.

I think the range is estimated based on your lifetime MPG average. My range estimate has gone up simultaneously as my lifetime MPG average has.
