did anyone find out exactly what new suspension tweaks or parts are in the new 2011? And can we get those parts?

From what I read... softer springs, stiffer sway bars, different front control arms... and stiffer 'body bushings'.

Thanks,
Dave

Magazines spout off all kinds of BS. The only way to know for sure is to look up the part numbers and see what changed. According to the service manual, the measurements on all the front arms are completely unchanged. Only a couple of links in the rear suspension actually measure out different.

Totally agree with this. I know this from actual experience working with different magazines that featured my Supras. Even though I always provided very detailed specs and info regarding all of my mods, they ALWAYS got it wrong. In many cases, I could not, for the life of me, dislodge erroneous, preconceived notions the writers had about the car in general or some part of it. Also, I found many of the writers to be very technically challenged.

C/D has to justify that 8.6-second differential somehow so publish so technical mumbo jumbo and hope your readers buy it. When the MKIV Supra premiered on the cover of C/D in April/May 1993, the article was replete with bad information, such as one turbo being larger than the other. I doubt that things have gotten better over time.

Yup and what we call those ppl who read the magazine mumbo jumbo reviews and believe it "Magazine racers" :P Give the 08 IS-F to a real driver like Keichi Tsuchiya and get him to run a lap around VIR. I bet he'll run a faster lap time then C&D's 3:14...

Agree as well... just quoting the mag! I'd bet on Softer Springs, and stiffer sway bar though... easy way to soften ride, and not lose handling.

Peace,
Dave

Any idea how much these mods would cost us in the pre-11 Fs?
