Default Are the new 2011 IS-F headlights darker than the 08's?

I was at the dealer looking at the new Lexus rides and although they don't have a new IS-F there, I noted the new ISx50 cars have black inside headlight trims instead of the chrome.

I'm not really a fan of the LED's inside the headlight but the darker black satin finish sure looks cool...

Do you think they will fit in the 08 F?

Exterior shape is physically the same from what I can tell....so fitment should be the same however I can't say about the electronics till I get my hands on a 2011 car in the shop.

Yeah I was looking at one today at lunch and it did look a lil darker, but also more going on inside due to the led strip. I'm super curious to know if the gauge cluster will work plug and play, but Im unsure if the mileage is retained on the cluster or cars computer. If someone with a 2011 would let me try Id switch. I already took mine out and have pics of the 2 plugs in the rear of the 2008 cluster. The cluster is the only thing on the 2011 I envy!!

^Mitch, please report back since I am like you, I also don't really care for the LED headlights but I'm in love with the new gauge cluster!!!!

Besides wondering if it's plug/play, the other obvious issue is the cost, did you find out how much the new cluster is supposing it would fit?

So now there's 2 things to do on my TODO list for 2011:

a) Check if the 2011 headlights are interchangeable
b) Check if the 2011 gauge cluster is swappable

If anyone in the DFW area is reading this it will take less than 15 min to find out if this swap will work or not....... Please chime in Ill buy lunch if you own a 2011 and are ok with me taking out 4 screws to swap it over. The 2010 is the same as 08-09 correct?

2008 wiring harness......http://is.sewellparts.com/oem-catalo...-ISF-2008.html

2011 wiring harness....same part number so it should be a go for the cluster for sure.

Not really, just get a notarized document of when you switched with pics with time stamps as well. If buying one new it would have 0 miles so the add up would be easy.

Smart, never thought of that!

so how much is the cluster since it seems it will plug right up? This might be a mod I really would like to do
