Default Looking to buy an IS-F

08' 45k miles $39k before taxes. Loaded. Cali car. Great condition, drives great.

What do you guys think?

Any issues I should look for? Are there any quirks or annoyances that IS-Fs are prone to, other than the low firm suspention?

Thanks.

mileage isnt too bad (avg. 15k/yr). if you like it inside and out, have a mechanic you trust check it out first. see if there are records of maintenance, whether done by the owner or by lexus. there shouldn't be any troubles with the F other than maybe changing brakes and rotors, as well as tires- if they have not been taken care of yet. 39k seems like a fair price to offer, so as long as everything checks, it should be good.

welcome to the club, and hopefully you'll have your F soon! happy new year!

I got an '08 with 14k miles in Sept for $42k before taxes. 45k miles for $39k does not sound bad, but I might push lower b/c of mileage. Get a CarFax and bnizzle87 covered the rest. Perhaps do a check on Kelley Blue Book or Edmunds or NADA as well.

I saw that at that one used lot right by the 580. There must be something wrong with it as it has been sitting there for a few months now.

Carfax says it was sold at auction 11/22/10, so just over a month?

Hmm okay. I saw it briefly coming into down for Thanksgiving weekend. I saw it again in the same spot when I came up for Christmas.

Is it typical for an IS-F to be on the lot for a couple months during these times? Thers another one down south thats been sitting since October.

I have 40k and currently need to buy from a dealer, you think I can score one with that in CA?

I tried to sell my 08 for a month with 17K miles for $40K about 6 months ago. No takers on Craigs List. That was not the place to try and sell my car in the green Bay area. Only IS-F in town as far as I knew.
Good luck to you.
