Hello members. Can you validate something for me? The center silver carbon fiber trim piece (the one surrounding the gear shift lever extending back to the cup holder) developed a crack. I don't know if I did it or it was a mfr's defect but here is no indications of being struck by anything. Anyway, I called the dealer where I purchased the car and they quoted almost $1200 for just he piece itself. Does this seem reasonable or are they mistakenly quoting the piece plus the attached seat heater controls, gear shift position lights. etc.). This seems exhorbitant but then, again, this is a Lexus. Anyone have any thoughts or other alternatives? Thanks in advance.

That's quite a bit better! Thanks for the point-out. I am going to try to see if the dealer will replace it as factory defective.

I'd also check the CL classifieds. There are people who are selling the CF from time to time. I'm not a big fan of the silver CF, I liked the Bird's Eye Maple in my 350 a lot better.

Why not just get an aerotect Dinoc vinyl interior overlay kit for it? Much cheaper and you can choose from 3 different options.
