Location of Oil Drain Plug?

^^^ They never mention how the first shot of oil out of the drain plug squirts onto the transmission plastic under panel....
Design flaw ??
But, I make a small cardboard deflector each oil change to prevent that.
Much less to clean up when I'm done..
