Sport Steering Wheel (Flat Bottom)
The stock steering wheels is the one and only thing I did not love about the F. Firstly, I do not find it sporty enough as it is too plain with just the F logo. Secondly, it feels too thin for my grip as I like it beefy. Compared to my wifes 2011 A5 steering wheel, the F's less substantial and plainer.
So, I decided to do something about it..
Please excuse the ****ty "too flash apparent pics" as I did not have enough lighting in my garage. And also, it is overcast and snowing outside as the the midwest is being hammered by a snow storm. I consider this as my winter mod..

the steering wheel looks good. i like the flat bottom- gives it a sportier touch for the driver. i've seen a silver CF one that matched nicely with the center console, however I do like the dark CF look better

Are you planning on converting your silver interior to black interior. I really want to pick up one of these steering wheels but can't decide if I want to get a silver one or do black and switch the entire interior. I keep looking at a C63 AMG Black Edition Carbon interior and it makes me want to switch to a carbon interior.

You should get the F-Sport black carbon fiber shift ****. That will coordinate well with the wheel.
Is this wheel thicker/beefier than the stock wheel? Is it thicker just in the 10/2 position, or all around?

I will be replying to all your questions later tonight. But I have to reply to this one. It sure is beefier than stock meaning it is most substantial at 9 and 3 o'clock. The flat bottom also feels meatier than stock. I will measure the thickness against the stock one tonight to verify this.
