Default Tirewear Question?

Ok so I noticed I was having a issue with my tire wear and read lobux thread on the alignment. I had the dealer do an alignment with zero toe and these are the new specs.

Now here is what the tires look like currently. They have 12k miles on them. From others experience what are the chances of getting 1500 more miles out of these as I really don't have time to get them changed this week and have to head away for the weekend on a 1000 mile round trip trip. Is there any hope to make that with out the cords showing. I know there are many factors to this question but just looking for some opinions.

Passenger Side Tire

Driver Side Tire

I would eventually like to switch from the Continental ContiSport Contacts to the ExtremeContact DW but my rear tires have great tread left on them. Is there any issue with putting ExtremeContact DW on the front with the ContiSport Contacts in the rear?

Highway miles? Mostly straight? Probably won't cord in 1000 miles, but you'll be close. Even if they cord, you saw my pics. Those tires were still actually working OK at the track before the 3.5 hour drive home through intermittent rain showers. Keep an eye on them for sure, but use my pics as a guide. If they get worse than my pics, you're throwing the dice on a blow out.

Thanks. The trip is all highway miles as well is most of my daily commute.

I've got 25K on mine that they look exactly the same. I'm currently running Blizzaks but am debating on buying some new rubber for the front..

Default Just tell them zero toe?

My Bridgestones did the same thing yours did. I'm at 26K and just do highway driving. I've ordered some new Continental ExtremeContact DWS for the front. So when I have the alignment done at the dealer, just tell them to use zero toe? Do I need to specify any other settings? I wanted to keep it as simple as possible.

If you've got 26k on yours and they're not corded you're doing very well. My 350 was this good from the factory - all four tires died at the same time with 31k on them. My F has not been this good.

If you have them change it, you would be very wise to ask where it is right now before it gets changed. Arbitrarily changing it to zero might be OK, or they might set it where the lights flash green and call it good. It's a roll of the dice when it comes to dealerships and alignments. Many of them contract alignment to a third party so you really have no control over the end result.
