^^Mike, understood. All good points and issues I had not considered. You are so correct about shootouts being a PITA. Looking forward to the results of the header you are having made. Thanks again.

Care to share any hints on which route you are going with the headers or will you wait to unveil the choice once the article is done?
AFAIK sikky is the only one who has been doing any production, the other two that I know of are still in the test phases and haven't been finalized.

My car is pretty much stock. All I have is the K&N intake. I live in South Florida where it is almost always super hot and humid (not a good mix for putting up high Dyno numbers). Around this time last year we had a week or two where the temps where down to 40. I took advantage of one of these days and took my car to get Dyno'd in Miami. I ran all three run's in 6th gear on a Dyno Jet SAE corrected. I put out 399whp and 355 tq. Of course like many other's I was skeptical of these numbers and pretty much still am. Especially when there was all that "chatter" about the K&N actually losing HP. Glad to see an independent group show such promising results. Makes me hope that maybe those numbers were not all that off

(unless I missed something by not reading back far enough)... The problem is that there is no baseline for that 399 whp figure. Dynos can vary significantly. One should be skeptical...it is possible that the car would have dyno'd 393 whp on that same dyno with a stock intake...but we will never know, especially since we cannot duplicate the exact conditions when it dyno'd 399.

Bump, really looking forward to your test for a set of headers...
After looking at your project cars I'm trying to choose between supercharging the Tundra or more extensive mods on the ISF.
Such a great write up!
