Default IS-F exhaust on a IS350?

Hey, I have someone who wants to buy the back part of my IS-F's OEM exhaust and put it on his IS350. Does anyone know if this is possible?

TIA

Hi Dave..

No sorry, these oem exhausts are not easily interchangeable...

I designed aftermarket exhausts for both these models, so I'm 100% sure..

Why would anyone want to do that? ... It not like he would be gaining any HP... if anything, he would be loosing HP since the exhaust is not designed to be used in the ISX50 v6s

Not everyone wants mechanical performance. Some are overjoyed with visual performance. VIP is a perfect example of visual performance over mechanical performance.

maybe just find a way to attach the tips from the F on the end of the stock IS350 exhaust?

I don't see any reason for doing this....you won't be able to see the ISF exhaust once it's installed anyway. Just get an ISF bumper and quad "tips" if the person's going for the ISF look.

Maybe they want their IS350 to sound like an IS-F....

Changing the exhaust won't make the V6 sound like a V8 :P

There is no reason to understand this, purely b/c it is what he wants to do. He has his reasons and I respect that and sometimes people want to do things just to see if they can.

Cheers

I wanted to see if I could survive jumping off the golden gate bridge. It's a personal challenge to myself to prove that I can do it. Other people say it's silly like maybe I should just dive off of a diving board but what do other people know right?

All kiding aside, you presonally Dave, what are you going to do when you go to sell the car? The chances are that the next person that buys your car will probably not care what kind of aftermarket exhaust you have on there or what it costs new or used. So unless you sell your stock IS-F exhaust for exactly what you pay for your after market exhaust then you're losing money.

I store all of my parts... My thinking is that I won't get anything for my aftermarket parts if they're on the car when I sell it. You have to think in the long run. Do what you want but the guy who buys it is going to feel really stupid when he has an exhaust with no polished tips and ends short of the bumpers.
