Going to the IS Precision Tour tomorrow at Infineon Raceway
I'm totally excited. I'm headed to the Lexus IS Precision Tour http://isprecisiontour.com tomorrow at Infineon Raceway. I can't think of anything better than to drive an ISF that is not mine (no wear and tear) on the race track at someone elses expense. There is also a chance that I will get a ride with a professional driver around the course in the LFA.
I'm also looking forward to experiencing the suspension differences and LSD in the 2011 that my 2008 does not have.
I'll post pictures.

How does it work with the IS350's and ISF's? Owning an ISF I'm not really interested in driving the IS350, do you get to pick, do they choose, do you drive both?
Also, did you get a ride in the LFA? How does that work?
I'm a bit hazy on the details, just got a private invite and knew that I HAD TO GO!

So great to hear it was a good time. I'm taking my Old Man with me and I'm certain it will be the fastest he has ever been in a car! LOL.

here's what i remember from last weekend @ fontana:
they started the session @ ground school where they taught as much as they can in 15 minutes (possibly less) about performance driving dynamics.
the session was split into two for two separate activities. one was an auto-X course where half the session takes two practice laps in the f-sport editions of the is250 and a timed hot lap in the f-sport is350. fastest time in the auto-X course of the session earns a ride-along in the LFA (scott pruett was on hand to whip the LFA around in fontana).
the other activity was two-fold. one was a lead-and-follow session in the IS-F's, and after that the instructors jump into the IS-F's that just driven around by the attendees and show how it's really done.
i recommend leaving the expectations and home. that way, you come away with a positive experience.

I went to the one here in Atlanta two years ago - I got a $750 off coupon I used when I traded my 350 for the F.

Too bad they didn't do the paid full day program again. I'd love to do that now that I've got some seat time on the track in my F. The $200 was well worth it. There was plenty of room in that program.
