Let me know how you do when you start a business that ignores 27% of its market base.

and what if that 27% isnt enough to turn a profit? do you honestly think lexus can sell enough ISFs (next to the RCF) to justify its existence?

Do you think Lexus can sell enough RC-Fs to justify its existence? The answer is no, the answer as far as the original IS-F was no, Lexus knows the answer is no, and that's my point.

It is going to be a long time - if ever - before the F marque makes money off the cars that actually sport the badge. That's not the point of the F marque right now.

the original ISF came as is, sedan only. the RCF is coming (presumably) as is, coupe only. you're arguing for the existence of a ISF in addition to the RCF. big difference. no, HUGE difference.

No. You are arguing only that the IS-F should not exist. I am arguing that both the RC-F and IS-F should exist. Indeed, a "HUGE" difference compared to whatever ulterior motive you have against the IS-F.

im not arguing that it should not exist. rather that it will not exist.

i'd love to see both, but imo its not likely to happen. the RCF wasnt made in addition to the ISF, it was made to replace it. if there was a 2IS coupe, do you really think they would give the sedan the F treatment before the coupe? no. coupes rule in this segment...

Half the Doors, Twice the Roar – Lexus Introduces All-New F Performance Coupe

What exactly is Twice the Roar mean? An exhaust as loud as JoeZ? It's Definitely not 2X the HP!

Hold the horses...you may be surprised at what Lexus has in mind for the coupe...and the sedan.

Remember, none of the cars is going to sell in high volume. It is about branding and brand superiority...for Lexus. The volume will come from standard Lexus and Lexus Fsport sales.

Yeah...it's someone in PR getting beyond reality. I am sure the 478 HP engine roars.
