Has anybody looked into swapping a 2011 gauge setup into a 2010? Is it a plug and play fit? Anybody know about this? Thanks!
yes I looked up the harness part numbers and they are the same. The plugs should be identical. If 2 locals could get together it would take 10 min total and would cause 0 harm. I wish a 2011 owner would step up to this so I could do it already.... I took the cluster out in about 3 min. No damage will occur during this test imo.
Does the cluster need to be reprogrammed with mileage though? Won't that be like a black mark for someone purchasing the car later? Just thinking ahead haha.
Depends how you do it, if you buy a 2011 cluster new from the dealer and have it programed you could just leave it in the car and sell it that way, It would have the correct milage from being programed. You can not find a random one say out of a smashed F and swap it. The cluster is one time programable so it will read the millage of the car it came out of when you install it in your car and start to clock miles on that odometer. Your stock one would keep the milage it was taken out at and therefore would no longer have the correct milage if you moved your car an inch. Some people got caught turning back millage by putting salvage clusters with lower numbers in cars and selling them around where I live, most people never think to pull a cluster to make sure a vin matches.

The cluster new is affordable on sewell parts.com So I would for sure buy it new and have the dealer program it. You could always get swap notarized as well to show you are an honest person. COME ON 2011 OWNERS STEP UP FOR SOME NEEDED INFO!!!!

^^^ Agreed, im just going to wait till i have some serious miles and upgrade to a 2011 lightly used and flop my parts from my 08... get the new rear end, suspension and interior upgrades
Its bottom left, controlled using the same button as park assist. 2011 doesn't come with a auto turning headlight feature and might not display on the cluster.
