Wow, How many quarts do your engine's take? 1.0L more?

It shouldn't be overly expensive since I have my own oil and filter.

Considering it cost 50 bucks to fill the gas tank... why anyone would be complaining about sub $100 oil change is beyond me... We are lucky they don't require synthetic.

Absolutely! I pay $55 at the dealership. Even if I did it myself, I'm gonna be out $30 for the oil/filter. $25 is worth my time, plus you can provide documentation if the next owner/warranty claim ever needs it.

To the OP, call your closest dealership and I think you'll be surprised how reasonable the oil change will cost you. You won't think twice about doing it yourself or taking it elsewhere next time.

I'm surprised how high that still is. Must be a Cali thing to charge more...

Drain and refill with oil filter change - 9.3 liters (9.8 US qts, 8.2 Imp. qts).

Yes, it's a lot more than the usual Lexus.

Got the oil change done today at the stealership for $50 out the door (included my own oil or it was $120) so I can live with that for now. One thing that struck me as odd was the fact that the dealership was very strict on not bringing your own oil filter and using theirs. I guess customers have been bringing in their own OEM parts or aftermarket and customers started complaining saying bad install such as brakes because of the squeaking. Sounds like BS and that's what I told them,

Because it's a high performance engine. I've never seen any race capable V-8 with less than 8 quarts of oil capacity. We ran that in our circle track stock car in 1970.

I pay $37 out the door at the dealership supplying my own 0w30 Mobil 1 and OEM filter from Sewell. ~$5 for the filter and < $50 for the oil. Typically I do all my maintenance, but I don't want the hassle of disposing 10 qts of oil every oil change. Plus they clean the car real well gratis and get to dikk around in a loaner car for a little haha jk.

Do you guys all use synthetic oil for your F's?
Dealer quotes me 90$ for regular oil and 160$ for synthetic but he tells me regular oil will do the job...

And how often do you change oil if synthetic? I had a BMW before and oil change was required once a year
