Easily.... Mine came to 2,068.00 after alignment. Also it could be hundreds more if you need o2 sensors as well. Anyone who thinks Headers are an easy 1 day install is wrong. At least it should take 2 days to have everything right.

This is my third header installation over the years. None of them were easy. All of them were done by Speedshops, folks who knew what they were doing, and depending on the hourly rate could cost close to $1K for the install. And, in addition, my front 02s needed to be replaced and then I went the added route of installing Hiflow cats. However, IMHO, it was worth it. I can feel the added punch and the sound is from heaven

As far as the dipstick relocation, it's really no big deal. The dipstick goes into the oil sump via a tube. The stock tube gets in the way of the new header, and needs to be moved forward (on the PPE) about 4". PPE supplies the new tube with brackets as part of the plug and play assembly. It's just a slight reposition and the oil level still reads correctly.

Update:

Paul decided to delay the Group Buy for a bit. Reason, he's been following this thread, and is concerned about the comments about the dipstick move and modification. I am leaving my car at his shop this afternoon on my way out of town, and he will try to engineer another solution. I told him that IMO, the modification was just fine and that he should leave it alone. But being the kind of guy he is, he wants to try and reengineer another solution. This may or may not happen, but he wants to try.

BTW, The header has been posted to the PPE web site here:

What's the final price? I'm assuming this would affect our warranty?

^^^^It will only void the portion of the factory warranty that concerns emissions, but you've already done that with the JoeZ exhaust. If something breaks and Lexus can prove it was related to something you modified, than the warranty would be voided. Headers are a bolt on, and the only warrantable item you are messing with are the cats which affect the emissions systems. There are four cats, 2 in the factory exhaust manifolds and 2 in the factory exhaust system. With the JoeZ you have already removed the secondary cats, the headers will remove the primaries. You can keep it OBD compliant with aftermarket cats however.

Are you thinking about getting black for quick visual inspections if your pulled over or for a full inspections? It seems that the black wouldn't really look that stock anyhow....but I guess it wouldn't stand out as much as silver.

I'm trying to decide between the two. I figured if I go with silver, I'd just go to a couple "special" places for the full inspection.

FYI if your'e in the SF area, I got an install quote from a reputable SF speed shop for 600-700. also 3 pulls w/o A/F ratios for 80, so an additional 160 for before and after #s.

These were titanium coated, I chose it because I thought it looked OEM, but to be honest if the inspector knows what he is doing it too would not pass a visual.
