You are correct, they are in fact using a new and improved jig with tighter tolerances.Lou
The new jig fixed clearance issues on the left hand bank which had previously resulted in the steering column shaft not having enough room. It now currently is installed between the pipes with more room now. Anything ordered from PPE now has been corrected, all previous problems are resolved. These guys make an awesome product.
I installed my ppe headers last saturday/sunday in the garage with a buddy, fun time. I also installed the joe-z exhaust at the same time and the o2 sensor conditioner at the end. No check engine lights. Here is a sound clip from the first start up with ppe headers/no cats/joe-z exhaust. Fitment was great, except on the drivers side the manifold would not slide over the cylinder head exhaust studs; 3 of the holes were smaller than the others not sure why. Reamed up the 3 smaller holes full size to match the others and it slid right on. It doesn't hurt to buy new exhaust manifold gaskets while your going to be in there, mine were roughly $28 each from an online dealer. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z7fmHNI_8I0
I love the end of this video classic lol your F sounds amazing go luck.
Well unfortunatly my headers are still shooting a CEL. The install was right on so I contacted Paul and requested a new 02 conditioner perhaps my set is defective. Beside my car on limp mode and 2nd the performance gains are significant though I am missing launching from first. Anyone here having CEL issues?

What check engine lights were you throwing? P0138, P0158 and P0607? If I know that I can point you to the wire of trouble. Also the instructions are incorrect on pin cavity (E6 26 red) its actually A6 and not E6 as noted. I called ppe to have them correct this, could be troublesome if its overlooked. When I installed mine I had a check engine light as well, and the problem resided within the (2) blue tap splice connectors that are provided. So my guess is its either A. not crimped hard enough to tap the wire or B. the male terminal provided shoved inside of the blue tap is too big and too tight not making good contact. I fixed both of these and the CEL/VSC turned off. This magic box is working wonders This summer I am going to solder the wires and do away with the crimpy mess, but winter has my projects limited. LexISguy what are your DTC's? -Mike
I called Paul at PPE today to inquire about the backorder status of the headers. He said they had finished a set and it was at the chromers. He asked if I wanted them and I said OH YES... Really nice/helpful guy. Love it...
I've had the PPE Headers and Joe Z Exhaust on since August, no codes or anything of the sort. Sound is amazing you'll find yourself going wot under most overpasses. Though the heat is browning the chrome tips some, which i think is also what was going on with the Carbon fiber tips.... aka getting melted with the mods.
PPE's customer service has been awesome , as well as Carsons and Joe Z's (PTS)
We're done with the group buy discussion. If someone wants to contact PPE and get it started, go for it. Until then, let's stop the banter and get back to discussing the product.

Hello all. Contacted PPE, a group buy is in the works for February. Reason they are holding off is to fulfill current orders, and get caught up. The promotion will run for roughly 2 weeks he said. So far its my favorite mod yet.
