trading in for the F

If money isn't the issue for you, then you should get the new one 2011, since it's got upgraded suspension, torsen LSD, and the LED DRL, also, the suede seats.
If money is kind of an issue then go with the 2010, pretty much the same as previous years, but has a real LSD.
If money is an issue then just go with 2008, overall is about the same, except the handling will be a little different than the 2011.
Good luck on your purchase. ^^

2011 has a lot of great upgrades, but if you're looking for a good value, shop for a certified 08 or 09 ISF with low miles.

Since you're contemplating on an F, then it's safe to assume your budget is in order. With that in mind, I would not get a 2011 since a new F should be out in two years tops. Instead of a 08, like most have recommended, I would actually say go for a 09. From my experience, the used prices for an 09 is just marginally more (1K-3K) than an 08. The interior of the 09 looks a lot better than 08, due to the piano black center console. Also a pet peeve of mine is the center air vents above the Nav. In the 09, the air vents doesn't "sag" down like pictures I see in every 08. Maybe it's just me, but the "sagging" of those air vents makes it really "un-lexus" like. You typically see that on cars that are +10 years old.
Additionally, I would not pay extra for a "Lexus-Certified" car. I mean even for the 08, the factory warranty still holds, so why pay extra for any certification.

Since recommendations seem to be all over the place, why don't you go and look at a 2008, 2009/10 for the new interior and 2011 for the new suspension. Then buy whichever feels best. Of course with the 10-11 you're also getting the LSD, new Nav, wheels, etc.. so that might help your choice, or make it even more confusing

The 2011 comes with the suspension upgrades and the Torsen LSD with the new headlights. Not sure if that's your style or not, but if you do want the F without all the newer enhancements, an 08 or 09 would suffice. PurduePete makes a good point about the interior. After seeing the piano black trim, I was kinda bummed that my 08 didn't have it . Best of luck on your search, and hope you get the perfect one for you!
