I had the vais xm tuner installed. It has been losing reception and I was told by a vais rep that I need to disconnect the factory tuner. He said it was on the right hand side of the trunk but doesnt know what it looks like. I looked nd all i see is the smart key box. can someone direct me to this unit or tell me what it may look like. Thanks.

Anytime you have a XM or Sirius problem. The first thing to do is a radio " Refresh ". Then try disconnecting the tuner.

On my RX350. I have had all kinds of strange problems. Some stations working some not. Most of the time the sound will start to work then go out.

On the refresh. You can call it in. Or you can go to the web page.

Type in the radio number. And within 5 minutes the radio will start working.

Thanks i will give this a shot at home.
actually ive done that already. I will try again. I may have to disconnect the tuner, but im wondering were it is. THe rep tells me to disconnect the factory tuner, but where the hell is the factory tuner? He is really confusing me. He damn near had me cutting some wires cause he thought i had a ls when i told him i had a isf.

well i figured it out. my installer didnt plug the shark fin up right.
