I got a 2011 Lexus IS F and comming out of the garage I hooked the anthena with the garage door. URGHHHH. Took it to the Newport beach dealer and them bastardos want $974.00 to replaced. Most of the cost is removing the roof lining. Anybody knows how to doit?

I would just purchase the antenna and have a local stereo install place install the replacement for you. I am sure they would only charge $100 or less in labor.

You can get to it by removing just the back light, the bolt is a little further, but it is easy.

wait... are you talking about the sharkfin???

if so, you don't need to remove the entire liner
just the back portion...

No need to remove ANY headliner, just take out the back dome light, and you can access the shark fin antenna bolt from there.

Note to self....wait an extra 5 seconds for the garage door to open all the way.

My neighbor across the street is soooooo impatient when she pulls into her garage coming home from work. She'll start pulling in as soon as the garage door is at hood level . One of these times.........

I took my car to the stereo shop and they removed the antenna/fix the surface. All for $40.00

FYI: There are two holes on the roof under the antenna.
