I would not hold my breath on weight reduction, especially from Lexus. They cram their cars with more tech than their competitors so that alone should erase the idea of reduction in weight.

Well, I can tell you this much about the 2nd-gen ISF, do not have any expectations for a more powerful engine. I addressed this topic with my sales guy recently, and he said there are ZERO plans to do much to the engine. They do not want to detract those in the LFA market.
There was a thread discussing this a few weeks ago, and it sounds as though Lexus is indeed afraid of product cannibalization. So, we may get a new body style, but the engine will likely remain extremely close to current specs. Just fyi.
I'm with most of you though, I would love to see this as a coupe.

There might not be a power gain, but it won't be to protect LFA sales.

Agreed. People in the market for the LFA aren't cross shopping the IS F with it. Two different cars...two totally different demographics.
