Did 200 miles this weekend on cruise control doing 70 and got about 27.4 mpg with traffic in a few places. Haven't done streets since I just got my car back from dealership after it's been there for 3 weeks. Will update you guys on what I got but don't think it'll be fair since work is ony 4 miles away lol.

The isf get impressive gas mileage for a 5.0 liter displacement v8 engine, I've seen c350s, and a4 3.2s get either the same or worse gas milelage

I know...old post from the dead.

But...just went on a trip to Vegas and here are the latest results.

Traveling from San Diego area to the Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas
I-15 / 215 with morning stop-and-go traffic in some areas / to the I-15
2 bathroom stops
1 Starbucks stop
A.C. running about 75% of the time
27.9 mpg.

Traveling from the Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas to home in the San Diego area
I-15 all the way home
with refuel at the Chevron at Tropicana Ave/Dean Martin Drive
1 bathroom break in Yerbo
A.C. running 100% of the time
30.7 mpg

Both trips to and from Vegas I used the cruise control set at or around 70mph.

By the way, the road construction/rebuilding of the random bridges that were being fixed/repaved on the 15 suck for any type of lowered car.

And when I mean rebuilding, I mean non-existant. The road just disappears and the car drops about 1-3 inches into raw concrete while traveling over the bridge. If anyone is planning on going to Vegas in your F, try to give your self some space between your car and anyone thats following so you will have enough time to slow down for the areas of "dropout".

Wow, that's incredible gas mileage. Who would have thought 30mpg could be squeezed out of this car with the AC on no less?

I get around 18.4mpg according to my car's computer. That's probably a 50/50 mix of highway and city driving, about 200mi-250mi per week, 90% with sport mode off and in full automatic mode. I tend to only throw sport mode on and put it in manual for short bursts here and there because I'm trying NOT to get a ticket, lol.

For the first few months of owning the car, I used to leave it in D, and I do when the car is warming up, but now I am in Sport + M mode EVERY time I drive it....it's just a whole different beast with those 2 on. On road trips I'm in regular D mode. If I remember correctly I averaged ~25mpg on a road trip from NY to MD, and this includes a little city driving and a few WOT pulls on the highway.

Over the life of the car I'm around 18MPG... but that number is slowly decreasing

I think I need to utilize sport mode more than 10% of the time. Yep, definitely.

I get 27mpg on my trips from NY to VA. I don't know what you guys consider city driving, but I get from 11-13 in the city, which is where I do 95% of my driving. According to the computer I average 11-13MPH in the city lol. That truly is city driving.

Daily Driver, I do about 90% highway driving now and I am getting between 23-25 mpg. I used to do about 95% city driving and got about 16-18 mpg. Dumb questions are my headers hampering my MPG? I would love to break 25mpg.

Headers definitely wouldn't make your MPG worse. It probably has no effect at all, but if they did, it'd make your MPG a little better due to leaning out your A/F ratio a tad. Now if you romp on the gas more because you like the extra power and like the sound, well that's going to make it a lot worse.

By the way, I see I posted about a month after getting my car and was averaging 18.4mpg. Now I'm at 19.4mpg and haven't reset the gauge for over 8K miles. I also tend to use sport mode more than I used to.

Just drove my car from SF to PHX I averaged 29.4mpg the first stop at Harris Ranch, 27.7mpg second stop at Palm Springs and 31.2mpg last leg (according to the cars calculation). I always set the cruise control for 5mph over the speed limit. Not gonna lie I was amazed to see I got over 27mpg.

But on my daily commute (90%hwy/10%city) I get about 21mpg

I've been averaging 25mpg. Pretty much all highway driving. Car only sees WOT maybe 1-2 times a week.
