Question IS-F M3 crossroads...?

Hi;
I do not want to come off inflammatory or "trolling", whatever that is?
Just want to get objective & honest opinions?
I have owned 3 series BMW's ..love 'em.
I have my eye on the new M3...but I heard the IS-F is almost as fast...and may be more reliable, since it is Japanese...although Lexus/Toyata has had a bucket full of recall/safety issues, or so I hear?

How good REALLY is the IS-F?
I REALLY want to "like" the IS-F, because of the aggressive stance/exterior...
although, I wish it had the sporty M3 interior.
BMW "M" has decades of refinement and research and is Legendary.
But I am afraid of what may be after warranty as I plan on keeping my next car far past payments & warranty.

Appreciate all & any "objective" input.

The M3 appears to cost more, but if you take in to consideration that it has wider wheels & tires factory (would want to replace those on Is-F way too narrow)...and REAL quad exhaust (I guess that needs changing for performance, on IS-F)

There are bolt-ons... intake, headers, exhaust. If you're into heavy modding and can afford it, the M3 will have more options available.

Welcome to Club Lexus. There are dozens of posts about this exact topic which will provide you instant answers and no waiting if you search. I put 'm3' in the search keyword, selected search in topic title and pointed at the ISF forum.

There are many other similar threads... this is just a few from the first page of my search.

Similarly for modifications, here's a good starter searching for 'dyno'
