Over the ownership of my car I am at 22mpg. Since I live in Germany this does include highway driving at a minimum speed of 85mph and 120+mph stints are not seldom.
At around 120mpg the car needs 14-15.5mpg when highway is flat and wind is not too drastic.
This is not as good as the big Diesels here, but not too shabby.
The car has about 37,000 miles on it.

Nice, wish we could do that here!

My car will reach 70k today when I leave the office. I have had zero problems with it. I change the oil every 3k miles regardless. I've changed the rotors and pads and intend to change the plugs this weekend. What a low maintenance head turning bad a$$ car!! I can't wait to get my headers and KWV3 suspension.

So we tried pulling up the pictures we took with my brothers phone on the tank average gas mileage and all the ones after this picture just got worse in quality to where they arent legible. I managed to get this after 20 min on the road with this tank.
It slowly kept working its way up and we took the last picture at about 40 min into the tank. At 45 min we ran into traffic. We averaged 77 mph with every tank and even on this pic we werent driving at the pace we we at later.
Kind of disappointing because I was stoked to show the shocking 42. Overall trip for tank average was at 24, 26, 27.3, 29, 31.5, 27.8 and 26.4 while I was driving. I didnt pay attention when my brother was driving the car.
This was 4 days after headers were installed. Car is now at 11,398 miles.

75k miles and only had the water pump replaced under warranty. Going to try and get one of the seats replaced under warranty cause the leather is wearing bad and the blue is starting to show through on the side bolster. Other than that nothing but regular maintenance. Going to need the brakes replaced soon as well since still on original rotors.

gun it after fueling, let the car idle for an extremely long time, and several other methods. Ive gone from 20 mpg down to 15 just from letting a car idle in interstate traffic before.

I have 81k on my car and my seats are perfectly fine. Then again, I'm careful getting in and out of the car, and I don't let many passengers in my car either.

The F gets 5.2 - 5.3 mpg at Carolina Motorsports Park. Basically 2 laps per gallon. That's about as low as it goes realistically.

Figured out this weekend that the MPG reading is for the last ~ 7500 miles... not life of car.
Drove the car 750 miles and got 28.3MPG on my tank readings. My car was showing 18.3 when I started and increased to 19.3 over the 750 miles. So, I ran 10 MPG better than average and increased my total by 1 MPG. Means that there was a 1-10 ratio working. Did that in 750 miles so must mean that the MPG reading (non-tank) is looking at the last 7500 miles.
Crossed 35k miles on my relatively new to me 08... picked it up in March.
This may be my first post... been lurking for quite a while.
