Nobody needs to carry the water for GReddy, but maybe one of you guys outraged by the price can find another 100% titanium exhaust, with as much piping as the IS-F, for anywhere near $3995. The 50% weight reduction alone puts it in a class by itself.

Exactly. I really can't understand all the complaints. You guys must be new to full titanium catback exhausts or something. $4k for this sounds about right in line with other well known companies that make similar catbacks. The only difference is that the other catbacks were priced for relatively cheaper vehicles like 350Z/G35s. You guys drive IS-Fs for chrissakes. Plus, $4k is MSRP, so I expect to see these actually sell for less than that.

"The only difference is that the other catbacks were priced for relatively cheaper vehicles like 350Z/G35s. You guys drive IS-Fs".... It shouldn't matter what car it is for. If the material and build quality is the same the prices should be relative to how much material was used, NOT what car it is going on. Just because it is a Lexus IS-F doesn't mean owners want to shell out anymore than a guy that owns a G35.

How can you say this. There are 100x less IS-F on the road than G35 which means the potential sales market to start with is significantly smaller. They have to make back there cost they put into designing and testing it and to do so they have to sell it at a price based on the estimated sales figures. I can promise you they will never sell even 1/20th as many exhausts as they sell for the G35.

The price is one thing, but Greddy should be releasing the whp gains and sound clips--that sells exhausts!

Is the issue really Greddy being too expensive and not forthcoming enough (e.g., whp gains, videos, etc) or is it b/c we've all been spoiled by vendors who have given us direct feedback and at times even direct troubleshooting (e.g., JoeZ) here at CL? Maybe times have changed and this is now the norm, that is, a vendor has to come to CL and speak to all inquiries. I remember a day when anything from Japan (at least the engineering was from Japan) was expensive (and still is) and you did not question if a product from one of the many reputable Japanese companies, especially Greddy and HKS was legit or not.

I am one who is not surprise of the price for this Greddy exhaust.

^^ I'm not either.... It's right in par with everything you mentioned..

Cost of Titanium material & construction methods to build, make this a pretty good deal for what it is...

Those who want a Full Titanium Exhaust System will now have that option for their IS-F.

We already have a good basis for what the power output will be from similiar designs... Made in Titanium will not increase hp out put dramatically.

I'm glad they are finally realeasing it..

P.S. - My post is just my opinion on the topic at hand...

Weird they don't incorporate an X pipe in their design.

If I'm paying 3 times the price of a joez exhaust, I want three times the hp and three times the weight reduction.
