I would love to sound off on this thread about how great the F is, but what's the point? All of our reviews are going to be biased since this question is being asked in a Lexus forum.

I disagree. I know I'd love the 09+ CTS-V because above all I love luxury HP and theres a lot more HP in that car, just like a GTR or C63 AMG. I just cant afford any of those. What I could afford easily was an 08 IS-F for 41k out the door. Find me something comparable, and I'll show you a blank sheet of paper.

I'd have to disagree, too.

I actually really liked the CTS-V when I went to take a look at one, and I can easily see a number of reasons to pass on the F and go with the Cadillac. Any subjective reasons I have for choosing the F, aren't because I currently like Lexus (I didn't always, if you had asked me some years ago)-- they're related to aspects of the car which I favor, such as the interior layout and implementation of features, overall exterior styling, and other various bits which work for me, such as smaller vehicle size, transmission, the sound system, or the dual nature of the cars intake.

However, even if we were to be more objective, the F has many notable qualities. For me, these ranged from the MPG to the price, and how well it managed to balance my daily driving needs with anticipated track endeavors.

If I had to attribute anything to it being "a Lexus", it would only be the success of the brand grabbing my initial attention when it came to reliability/quality considerations.
