Default IS F front fenders: steel or aluminum?

This has probably been covered but searching via mobile device is not very intuitive. Does the IS-F have steel or aluminum front fenders?

Thanks,

Matt

Just stuck a magnetized business card onto my fender and it sticks, so should be steel. Hood is aluminum and the card doesn't stick. The outside panel of the side vent where it flows onto the lower skirts is plastic though, of course.

Maybe the hood is iridium?

If you opted out of a sunroof you would have gotten an aluminum roof...

^^^^^ I didn't know that. I think that's cool that they offer a light weight roof.

Any idea how many sunroof delete cars made their way to the States? I have yet to see one in person.

If the fenders are steel, going to CF should yield a small but reasonable weight reduction. Does anybody know of a company (other than Seibon) that makes CF fenders for the ISF?

I did not find another company making carbon fiber fenders when I was putting together my notional weight reduction build. Novel or Icode might have a prototype or one-off piece - I haven't seen anything other than the Seibon though.

I just did a walk-around and performed the paper and magnet test: everything is steel except the hood and the lower part of the trunk where the license plate and "IS F" are mounted. The roof is steel and I do not have a sunroof. In a Japanese car comparison video they listed a sunroof delete ISF as being about 55 pounds lighter than the normal factory weight. I'll try to find the video.

Here's the Best Motoring video that lists the nonsunroof ISF as 3725 pounds (minute 1:12):

Trunk is half plastic or poly.

I must have misread the manual then I read it as non-sunroof had aluminum roofs.
