Like you, I missed it by a boat. Just did mine, from Nav's manual, page 115:

Menu > Setup > Page 3 > Calibration > Tire Change.

I just installed 4 new tires and noticed the odometer showed .2 mile less than before tires change during my 25-mile work commute.

With 17k something posts, didn't think you would be shine on adding few more words on the Nav Calibration thing.

I have the pics...just haven't found time to uploading them and watermarking them. . 17k posts are nothing in a span of 10 years....but there are members here who haven't been here that long and have 3x the posts I have...even those with well over 70k posts. LOL

I just got some PSS on the rear. I replaced the stock Bridgestones after 40K miles. I have PS2's up front still with plenty of tread. I have not noticed any problems running PS2's up front and PSS's in the rear. Not that I would recommend this, I'm just saying that I haven't had any issues. The PSS looks and feels nice. I say thumbs up.

Whoa so wait a minute. You had stock bridgestones on all 4 wheels, but you replaced the front set first with PS2...and PSS just recently for the rear?

On Discount Tire's site they claim there is a 30k mile warranty for the PSS. Anyone here get a document stating a 30k mile minimum service life?

That alone makes these tires the hands down winner IMHO.

This kind of thing is fine until you push the car. In heavy rain if you accelerate hard, you will have strong oversteer. There's a big difference in wet grip between these two tires.

the fine print, if i remember seeing the ad in a magazine, says if you have a staggered setup, it's only 15k warranty...

Yeah. I replaced my front stock Bridgestone's about 3 months ago. I replaced them with PS2's. So I ran with PS2's up front and the stock Bridgestone in the rear for about 3 months. I put on about 10K miles during this 3 months period.

I agree. But I don't track mine and will be very careful in rainy conditions.

When the front PS2's wear out, I'll replace them with PSS and finally have the same tires on all 4 wheels.

I know I could replace all 4 at the same time and sell any tires with tread life, but I'm not much of a seller on eBay and stuff.

Its easy to sell a pair of PS2s. Just post them on bimmerfest. I've sold 4 PS2s on bimmerfest.

Bimmer guys all lease their cars, and often have to get used tires to put themselves above the lease return threshold.

First impressions compared to original Bridgestone Potenzas:
1. Quieter
2. MUCH softer
3. Steering is looser --> is this good or bad? It will be a week or two before I start doing some "spirited" driving and testing grip, but there is a considerable difference when turning in/out of parking spots or any similar turns that require 90-degree turns. Turning of the wheel is much, much easier. Could this just be because the tires are brand new?

Give it some time for the tires to break in. Then you will notice the difference.
