I am running a set of new Michelin PSS too, 245/35/19 and 275/30/19
Only had them for 150km, still breaking in...
My first impression they are quieter and have stiffer sidewall than PS2. I run 38psi all around. And way better wet traction.

Just to be fair, it's almost impossible for a new tire to be noisier than a worn out tire unless it's a REALLY noisy tire (KDW anyone?). More than likely if you compared new PS2 to new PSS, the difference would not be so dramatic.

So I just ordered the Michelin PSS's from Tire Rack in the sizes many others on here are using (245/35/19 F and 275/30/19 R) and hopefully the installer will get them and be able to put them on before my first track day of the season in 6 days...
Anyway, the guy at Tire Rack said he would reccomend the 275/35 instead for the rears or else the rear tire would be smaller than the front..... I know that both these tires are minimally smaller than OEM overall diameters, but can anyone tell me why people are running the 275/30's over the 275/35's in the rear? I just want to make sure I ordered the right ones and am a little nervous now that the Tire Rack guy was telling me to get the other size...... (he wasn't that nice either... )

Michelin PSS, upsize only rears on stock rims OK?
I did quite a few searches and couldn't find anyone in a similar situation to me. Hopefully some of the experts can help me out.
I ran over some road debris and got a puncture in the left rear, very close to the sidewall. Tire guy says he is not allowed to repair it, by law. No surprise there.
Here are the questions:
1) Is it OK from a alignment/safety/whatever standpoint to upsize JUST the rears to 275/30/19 Michelin PSS, and leave the front stock Bridgestone RE050A 225/40/19?
2) Will it be OK to wear out the remaining tread on the front, and later upsize to the Michelin PSS 245/35/19?
3) Are the E-Metric sizes at Costco correct? I'm not that experienced with tire measurements. Would the Michelin PSS here be the right ones (Item 577030)?
Some facts:
a) All tires are currently stock (225/40/19 and 255/35/19) Bridgestone RE050A.
b) Both rears are heavily worn - need to replace both rears for sure.
c) Michelin PSS 245/35/19 and 275/30/19 seems to be "tried and true" based on what I've read in this forum. They seem to be less "sticky" than the RE050A which is why I want to upsize.
d) Car is completely stock at the moment. No mods, no alignment changes, nothing.
Thanks in advance. My F is not my daily driver so I can afford to consider my options for a bit.

It's time to replace the Bridgestone Potenza RE050A ( 225/40/19 & 255/35/19) on my 08 ISF and I need some help with a few questions.
I'm pretty set on the Michelin Pilot Super Sports, but I'm debating sizing for a stock set-up.
My main concerns are performance, comfort, and noise for passive daily driving (never tracked).
My main concern with going with stock sizing is the few who've posted reviews of the PSS who went stock sizing disliked the tire, while the ones who love the tire went larger.
Should I go 225/40/19 & 255/35/19?
Or should I go 245/35/19 & 275/30/19?
What are the downsides for upsizing?
I've read the speedometer will be 2% faster, but what does this really translate to?
How would this effect the odometer over say 10000 miles?
Effects on steering or handling?

Nice... I had them on my 08 M3.... I loved those tires. Great traction and very good life as long as your not burning out all the time. I traded my M3 with 64K miles and was only on its second pair of shoes..... Good choice.

I have been running these tires since the beginning of summer. They really are amazing and do they help you hook. I have never hooked so well besides being in a awd. They are long lasting tires for how soft they are too. I can fold the side wall almost down to the lip. I thought I had a leak they were so soft but they were at 42psi. IMO probably the best tire I have ever used but the downside is the price tag
