Comments on the video suggest they were not actually racing. It would be nice to believe the IS-F is "competitive" with the LFA, but I think the difference is nothing less than astonishing in real life.

I had the opportunity to drive a 2011 ISF at Infineon (Sears Point) Raceway and to see a LFA run the same course. There is no comparison, the LFA is a track beast! And oh the sound, that sweet, sweet sound of the LFA engine.

I agree the LFA should absolutely smoke the IS-F, and this seems more like a promo for both cars than a real race.

^^ The IS-F went easy on the new kid on the block and let the LFA win.

On a serious note, the LFA better smoke the IS-F with the price tag it carries.

IMO this is not promo video for either car, the site were this video came from is called Northern Loop Production out of Great Britian, it features all kinds of exotic and high performance cars driven by there owners on road course as well as some straight runs not sure of distance they are running it looks like mile run to me at the end of run they have time clock and number being regististerd are between 1:60 to 1:80 mark the ISF did 1:72. They will also feature different cars on there site. When you look at video of LFA running ISF on road course it looks like they are being driven by there owner not by professional driver this may explain why ISF is not being blow out by LFA. This show that ISF is no slouch also, yes LFA is in front were it should be but ISF not being killed either. The video shows how these cars perform when driven by your average driving enthusiast which is nice to see for change.

Are you insinuating that your personal preferences are more important than every other potential buyer of the ISF? I could understand if you could prove that an automated sequential gearbox is inferior to an automatic gearbox from a performance perspective.

No, just stating the current incarnation is pretty hard to beat and will never need a new clutch.
