whats the difference?

i searched a lot. but didnt find anything definitive. might be a noob question, but they look pretty much the same when i look at them. i keep finding tons of threads regarding ebay LED tails.

hopefully i get a quick answer and this thread gets buried.

The only difference I've seen is that the USDM has the four dots on the side.

The side "dots" light up, allowing your car to be seen from the side. It lights up, as opposed to just being a reflector (JDM ones). Its a safety thing.

USDM version has the 4 LED side markers on the edge of the lamp assy like everyone has mentioned. It's a DOT requirement. This is not a requirement for JDM and other markets which is why the JDM version is cheaper.
