Not all States have the same sales tax as in CA.

Not true. Here in AZ there is no sales tax on private party vehicle sales. When you go to the DMV you simply pay your annual registration, which is an amount that is calculated based on the value of your vehicle. But it isn't a sales or "use" tax, you pay the registration even if you bought from a dealership and paid sales tax at the point of purchase. So on a high dollar vehicle, buying from a PP rather than a dealer can save you several thousand dollars (9.1% tax on a $45K car is ~$4,000!).

Not here in Arizona. Just the MVD title/reg fees. No sales tax on private party purchases.

There is no sales tax in Montana. The price of the car is what it is.

ONLY on a private party purchase. You buy that same used ISF from a dealer in Arizona, you pay sales tax on that transaction.
