Soooooooo....
I ordered a silicone icode intake from Carson. Was going to try and do some personal testing to see if the claims of lower temps would be achieved by using silicone rather than metal.
Well I got the intake. It's a samco hose curved in a 90. The holes are crudely cut for the 2 lines that connect. The inside where the metal nubs meet the silicone looks like someone stuck bubble gum around the holes. It's god awful and I was embarrassed for icode. It's also covered in rust inside the sealed bag it was shipped in. The inside is quite ridged and not smooth at all.
I am still in shock they get $400 for these things. It's literally as if joez had a 14 year old attempt to reproduce his intake with sub par materials.
2 thumbs down.
And I was planning on ordering more icode parts, as in sways, front lip, and strut bar. After seeing their incredibly awful craftsmanship, I'm highly debating spending that much money and being disappointed in 8-10 weeks.

I'm not bashing Carson at all. Luis said he would gladly take it back and refund me. It's not carsons fault.
I'm just upset cause I can't do a silicone vs aluminum dyno test

here is my hands touching the intake, its not hot but a lil warm. i have to admit it keeps the temps down. yes it was safe to touch.

it is pretty much a samco 90 degree elbow hose.
