Mavis Tire or Lexus Dealership?

So with my bad luck, this is the second time a nail got stuck in my tire on one of my cars within months, this time on the F.![Thumb Down](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/thumbsdown.gif)
Apparently the sidewall is damaged, and became damaged on my way to the dealership because of the pressure of the tire. So I'm riding on the spare until I get new tires.
But here's my dilemma, the front tires have 8/32 tread which is good... should I replace all four, or only the rears?
And do you F owners usually take it to the dealer to get them mounted on the rim, or Mavis Tire?
Thanks.

Save the money for other mods and keep the fronts, I say. If the left rear still has great thread left, replace the punctured tire with the same brand tire at where ever can do the job right for le$$. Otherwise, replace both rears at your choice and keep the left one as a spare.

^^^^Not good advice
This is a performance car, and different performance tires have different characteristics. Replace both the rears with the same brand and model of tire as the fronts, if, as you say, the fronts still have lots of tread left. As far as where, any good tire shop should be able to mount and balance. You don't need the dealer.

The fronts have 8/32, which is decent, but will probably wear out by the winter, so I might as well replace all four now.
The treadwear is 540 for Continental DWS... and I'll be driving sometimes in winter. Winters in NY are harsh.
So I am probably going to order new tires all around - Continental DWS
At this point I'm deciding whether to pay extra and go with wider tires.
Lou... I already read your epic write-up about upgrading tire widths... it's just a dilemma within my head now! Thanks.

I recommend Discount Tire b/c of their availability. Many locations for warranty related work if you buy from them. Also, they will give you discount towards new tires if your current set still has tread left. I replaced all 4 of mine when one of my rear also had a nail.
